Michelle has always had thick hair and struggled to find a hair tie that actually worked. The plain black hair ties would stretch out, slip, and never felt like something she'd want to wear on her wrist all day. We knew there had to be a better way—something beautiful enough to wear every day and dependable enough to keep up with real life.
Living on the Carolina coast has shaped who we are. Our family feels most at home by the water—spending days at the beach, out on the boat, and enjoying everything coastal life has to offer. Ted's love of surfing has always been part of that lifestyle and helped inspire a product that could keep up with saltwater, sunshine, and everyday adventures.
So together, we created Carolina Bands.
